Product description
Eryngium Magical Blue Lagoon is a vigorous herbaceous perennial with a clump-forming habit.
Its erect branched stems support long, silver-green leaves and teasel-like blue flower heads - these will develop a gorgeous deep shade of blue as they mature. Flowering in summer, this plant is well suited to growing in pots as well as borders and flower beds for a striking feature in any garden.
Eryngium Magical Blue Lagoon loves to soak up the sun and is best positioned in a south, east or west facing spot. It copes with harsh winter temperatures as low as -15 °C and you’ll start to see fresh growth as the air warms again in spring.
Dead foliage should be cut back at the start of winter, but the flowers are still attractive in appearance when faded - so you can leave them to provide winter interest if desired.
Please Note: When purchasing plants please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only - The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
Garden Plant Size Guide
Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
Eryngium prefers poor, well-draining soil and minimal fertilization for best growth and blooms. Deadhead to encourage prolonged flowering.
How to Water
Water sparingly once established, as Eryngium thrives in dry conditions. Avoid waterlogging by allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. Young plants need regular watering until roots develop.
How to Plant
Plant Eryngium in well-draining, sandy soil with full sun exposure. Dig a hole slightly larger than the root ball, place the plant, and backfill firmly. Avoid overly rich soil, as it may reduce flowering. Space plants to ensure good airflow.
