A more compact variety with interesting foliage colour and bright Spring flowers. The Euphorbia 'Shorty' is a species of Mediterranean Spurge with long, waxy, fleshy leaves of glaucous blue-green which carry hints of red both in the Spring when they first sprout and during the Autumn and Winter months when the weather begins to cool. The start of Spring brings many domed panicles of small, yellow-green flowers which last most of the Spring season and provide striking colour perfect for patio or border displays.
Plant in light, well-drained soils and keep in full or partial sun in a sheltered position. Avoid areas of excessive water as this can cause root rot. Drought tolerant once established but may require protection from harsh Winter weather through mulching or repositioning indoors.
