Product description

Ficus Little Miss Figgy is a dwarf variety of ficus shrub, with an almost identical appearance to its larger counterparts, but on a scaled down level. This makes it an excellent choice for smaller gardens and patios, especially for anyone wo enjoys the appearance of larger fig plants but may not have sufficient space.

Plant Ficus Little Miss Figgy in moist, well-drained soil in a sunny spot where it will grow best. The large, deeply lobed leaves are an attractive feature, and during the autumn months they turn a stunning, rustic shade of yellow before dropping off over the winter months. The purple fruits grow along the branches in plentiful amounts, ripening towards the end of summer and into the autumn months. If it has been a particularly warm summer, there is the potential for a second crop the following spring.

Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.

Instructions

Top Tip

Keep Ficus Fig in bright, indirect light for optimal growth. Too much direct sunlight can scorch its leaves.

How to Water

Water Ficus Fig when the top 3-5cm of soil feel dry. Water deeply, allowing excess to drain away. Avoid overwatering, as the plant is susceptible to root rot. Reduce watering in winter when the plant’s growth slows.

How to Plant

Plant Ficus Fig in a well-draining potting mix in a container with drainage holes. Choose a spot with indirect light, and place the plant in a hole twice the size of its root ball. Water well after planting and ensure the soil remains lightly moist.
