Product description

Forsythia ‘Golden Times’ is a new fast-growing variety known for its bright spring foliage. As the name suggests, these shrubs are featured with bright variegated golden-green leaves that make Forsythia an interesting and attractive plant.
Its broad and irregular leaves contain green in the centre, margined beautifully with bright golden-yellow patches that glow in full sun. Prior to this unique foliage comes the profusion of dazzling four petaled yellow flowers, that cover the entire shrub during the spring.
Forsythia Golden Times will tolerate a variety of soils that are well-drained. It will thrive in partial shade, but flowering is heavier when the shrubs are exposed to full sun. These are easy to grow flowering shrubs with relatively low maintenance and care required for growth.
Forsythia can be pruned after the flowering season, but it appears more glorious if you let it thrive into its natural arching shape. These shrubs are exceptional border shrubs that fit into varied landscapes as a natural hedge or when planted on slopes.
Their upright growing habit and arching branches create a natural display of a single garden specimen.
The bell-shaped flowers cover bare stems in spring, followed by the long-lasting foliage. This combination makes Forsythia Golden Times a perfect spring flowering plant.

Instructions

Top Tip

Prune Forsythia right after flowering to maintain its shape and promote strong growth for next season's blooms.

How to Water

Water Forsythia deeply and consistently, especially during dry spells. Once established, they are drought-tolerant, but regular watering encourages healthy growth. Avoid overwatering, as it can lead to root rot.

How to Plant

Plant Forsythia in well-draining soil in a sunny or partially shaded location. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball, place the plant, and fill with soil. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch around the base to retain moisture.
