Product description

Grape Pinot Noir is a reliable blue-black grape variety ideal for growing in the garden or greenhouse. Its fruits are rich in colour and aroma, making them one of the most popular varieties for making red wine. However, the grapes are also ideal for desserts and preserves, and are delicious enjoyed straight from the vine.

After harvesting, the rich green leaves turn striking shades of red, orange, and golden yellow, providing the garden with vivid autumn colour. This grape cultivar is easy to care for, flourishing in a sheltered spot in full sun. It prefers well-drained neutral to slightly alkaline soil and benefits from annual mulching.

Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.

Instructions

Top Tip

Prune grape vines in late winter to encourage healthy growth and improve fruit production.

How to Water

Water grapes regularly during dry spells, but ensure the soil drains well to avoid root rot. Water deeply but infrequently to encourage deep root growth. Reduce watering once the grapes start to ripen.

How to Plant

Plant grape vines in well-drained soil with full sun. Dig a hole large enough for the roots and space well apart. Place the plant in the hole, cover with soil, and firm it in. Water thoroughly to help establish roots.
