Product description

Griselinia littoralis is an evergreen shrub with clean and neat looking foliage that ensures a classy appearance on the eye. The area of the garden this plant is placed in will receive a great dose of light green colouring, with the leaves forming in a broad shape. Purple fruits will grow on female varieties of this Griselinia, as long as it is grown alongside male varieties. Flowers of yellow-green colour will grow regardless of being grown next to a male variety of shrub. Plant these in moist, well-drained soil and keep it in partial shade. Watering two or three times a week will ensure substantial Summer growth, whilst pruning should also be carried out once a year, preferably in late Summer.

Instructions

Top Tip

Griselina thrives in coastal areas and is drought-tolerant once established, making it ideal for low-maintenance landscapes.

How to Water

Water Griselina regularly, ensuring the soil remains moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top inch of soil to dry out between waterings. Reduce watering during colder months when the plant is less active.

How to Plant

Plant Griselina in well-drained soil in a location that receives full sun to partial shade. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball, place the plant, and backfill with soil. Water thoroughly after planting to settle the soil.
