Hakonechloa ‘Albostriata’ is a dense, mounded herbaceous perennial sometimes known as Hakone Grass or Japanese Forest Grass with lovely arching green leaves striped with white in the Summer, before gaining a tint of purple-pink during the Autumn months. Naturally found in woodlands and forests, this plant is perfect for use as groundcover beneath trees or in borders.
Plant in moist, well-drained soil. Can be kept in sunny or shaded areas for different effects. Prefers shaded, moist areas and will thrive nicely in these locales. A low maintenance plant that will die back during the colder Winter months.
