Our Heather Collection are gorgeous, evergreen shrubs. They possess upright stems with narrow leaves and flowers that produce a lovely array of colour. Spikes of pink, yellow or white flowerheads bloom in Summer and Autumn, with its green foliage maintaining year-round interest. They will make for an attractive addition to your garden, whether that be in flower beds, borders, pots, containers or another sunny spot.
You will find that these plants are easy to grow and take minimal effort to maintain. They should be placed in full sunlight and planted in moist, well-drained soil, although acid or alkaline soils are also suitable. Water once a week when the soil is dry to touch as this will encourage rapid growth. You can purchase collections of 3, 6 or 12 plants.

Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.

9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
Prune heathers annually after flowering to prevent them from becoming woody and to encourage fresh, compact growth. Cut back faded blooms, but avoid cutting into old wood, as it may not regrow.
How to Water
Water heathers deeply after planting and regularly during their first year to establish roots, especially in dry weather. Once established, they require minimal watering, as they prefer slightly dry conditions. Avoid overwatering, as soggy soil can cause root rot. Water early in the morning or late in the evening to reduce evaporation.
How to Plant
To plant heathers, choose a sunny spot with well-draining, acidic soil. Soak the root ball before planting, then dig a hole twice its width and slightly shallower than its depth. Space plants 30-45cm apart, firm the soil, and water thoroughly. Add mulch to retain moisture and prevent weeds, keeping it away from the base.
