Product description

Hebe ‘Green Mound’, as the name suggests, is an impressive compact and round mounding shrub with fascinating green leaves. This plant will sit like a royal shrub in a container pot, watching over the garden with grace. Their bright green leaves are packed forming a neat and tidy mound, that simply looks admirable.

These plants are cultivated in Scotland for growing in a variety of garden schemes. These are excellent structural plant that generally require low maintenance. Hebe Green Mound blooms tiny white flowers in summers. The plant is valued for its perfect shape and bright foliage.

Green Mound will thrive even in modest soil conditions. Plant them in a well-drained soil, exposed to full sun or partial shade. Even though it is hardy, it will need shelter from cold dry winds. Protect it from frost and watch how it captures garden attention all around the year.

This dwarf evergreen shrub acts as a useful filler plant. Its architectural mound form makes it ideal for border planting or even as a low-hedging plant. Trim any twigs that are disrupting its perfect symmetry. This will inspire Green Mound to grow densely in the middle.

Use it as a backdrop of green for other shrubs. Hebe Green Mound is a handsome mounding shrub, one that keeps a classy form, required to make your garden look elegant.

Instructions

Top Tip

Prune lightly after flowering to encourage bushy growth and maintain the plant’s shape. Avoid heavy pruning, as Hebes may struggle to regrow from older wood.

How to Water

Water Hebe thoroughly after planting, then keep the soil evenly moist during the first season. Once established, they are drought-tolerant and require only occasional watering during dry periods.

How to Plant

Plant Hebe in well-draining soil in a sunny or lightly shaded spot, sheltered from strong winds. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball, place the plant at the same depth it was in its pot, and backfill with soil. Space plants 60-90cm apart for full growth.
