Product description
The dramatic colouring of this clump-forming perennial creates interest in beds, borders, rock gardens and patio pots.
Heuchera Red Lightning is aptly named, as its vibrant golden-green leaves are veined in dark red, producing a lightning bolt effect throughout the year. Tall stems produce panicles of bell-shaped creamy-white flowers in spring and summer.
Commonly known as Alum Root or Coral Bells, Heuchera Red Lightning is a low maintenance garden plant that grows well in the shade. It is easy to care for and, other than removing spent flower stems, no pruning is required. Once established, Heuchera is drought tolerant and hardy against harsh winter temperatures.

Garden Plant Size Guide
Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
Heuchera plants thrive with a layer of mulch to retain moisture and keep the roots cool during hot weather.
How to Water
Heuchera prefers consistently moist, well-drained soil. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry, but avoid overwatering as they don't like soggy conditions. Water at the base to prevent leaf disease.
How to Plant
Plant Heuchera in well-drained soil. Choose a spot with partial to full shade. Dig a hole slightly larger than the root ball, place the plant in, and cover the roots with soil. Space plants 30-45cm apart for good air circulation.
