Honeyberry Giant’s Heart is a heavy-cropping cultivar producing up to 4kg of fruit every season. The large deep blue-purple berries are sweet, juicy, and delicious eaten raw or frozen for use in smoothies and desserts. Giant’s Heart Honeyberry also works well for winemaking.
This garden fruit shrub has an upright growing habit that matures into a dense, dome-shaped crown. Honeyberry Giant’s Heart is an undemanding fruit plant that thrives in moderately fertile, moist but well-draining soil. It prefers a spot in full sun but tolerates partial shade, although the harvest is likely to be smaller.

Plant Honeyberries in well-drained, slightly acidic soil with full sun or partial shade. Space plants 60-90cm apart for optimal air circulation and growth. Dig a hole that’s twice the size of the root ball, place the plant, and cover with soil.
