Product description

This six pack of Lobelia Bush Mrs Clibran bedding plants will bring a stunning splash of vivid colour to your garden and you can enjoy its wonderful display all summer long until autumn. This very easy to grow upright, bush lobelia has sapphire blue petals with white centres and rise above their green-bronze foliage. These neat and low, colourful mounds are one of the true classic bedding plants, often used for planting in border edging and in containers. They also make a great feature in hanging baskets to give them a pretty 'ball' shaping effect.

Plant in deep, fertile, reliably moist but well-drained soil in full sun or part-shade. Feed regularly with liquid fertiliser. No need to deadhead.

Please Note: Images are for illustrative purposes only and designed to be a representation of the item(s) being sold. Depending on seasonality, deciduous plants may be supplied in their dormant state and without leaves. Plants may also be pruned back, lower than stated heights, to encourage new growth.

Instructions

Top Tip

Trim back lightly after the first flush of blooms to encourage fresh growth and continued flowering. Lobelia adds delicate texture and vibrant colour to summer displays and is especially effective when mass planted or combined with other bedding favourites.

How to Water

Water regularly to keep the soil consistently moist, especially during dry or windy weather. Lobelia has shallow roots and can dry out quickly, particularly in pots and hanging baskets. Avoid overwatering, but don’t allow the soil to become completely dry.

How to Plant

Plant Lobelia bedding plants in moist, well-drained soil in a sunny or partially shaded position. These low-growing, spreading plants are perfect for borders, containers, and edging displays, offering a cloud of tiny flowers. Space plants 10–15cm apart to allow for full, even coverage.
