Product description
Lupinus Masterpiece is a clump-forming, vigorous, perennial with sturdy stems and mid-green leaves. From late spring into early summer, erect spikes of densely packed, purple with orange flecked flowers will appear. The flowers open up from the bottom over several weeks and new pale green buds are produced at the top. With its bold amethyst purple colouring, this new variety looks impressive featured in garden borders or when planted with other blue and pink flowering plants. Not only their colour but also their fine textured foliage will provide interest and structure to bedding areas and look stunning in patio containers.
Provide a sheltered location to protect your Lupines from winds or stake the flowers well with bamboo canes in spring before the flowers appear. Deadhead regularly to encourage a second flush of flowers. Protect the young plants from slug and snail attacks.

Garden Plant Size Guide
Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
To prevent disease, avoid overhead watering and water at the base of the plant.
How to Water
Lupins need regular watering, especially during dry spells. Keep the soil moist but not soggy, as they don’t tolerate waterlogged roots.
How to Plant
Plant Lupins in well-drained, fertile soil in a sunny spot. Dig a hole large enough to accommodate the roots and space them about 30-45cm apart. Gently firm the soil around the base and water well after planting.
