Product description

Magnolia Stellata is a medium-sized deciduous shrub that blooms stunning flowers in early spring and summer. It is so glorious to have a Magnolia blooming with passion in your garden. Its perfect rounded shape makes it a single outstanding garden specimen. It is an easy to grow small tree that will thrive with little care and bloom so abundantly, that your guests will be both surprised and mesmerized at the same time.

Magnolia tree produces beautiful large star-shaped flowers with glossy texture in the months of March and April. These are one of the earliest blooming shrubs, producing flowers on the bare branches. Plant them in front of other evergreen plants for a gorgeous green background. It features shiny green leaves later in summer that develop hints of bronze in autumn. The whole shrub covered in white flowers creates a majestic display.

Plant them in a sheltered spot in full sunlight or partial shade. It will thrive in moist soil that is regularly drained. Magnolia does not like dry soil but still develops tolerance to drought once established. Watering them regularly will enhance the flowering performance. It grows shallow roots that absorb nutrients, make sure it is not planted too deeply.

Magnolia Stellata demands little care. It requires no pruning other than cutting stems to maintain its shape. It needs a permanent place to thrive as repotting it too often can damage the roots.

One can grow Magnolia in large containers or in groups with other evergreen shrubs. It makes a charming specimen in small gardens and also used as hedging shrubs.

Instructions

Top Tip

Magnolias benefit from protection against strong winds, which can damage their delicate flowers.

How to Water

Magnolias prefer regular watering, especially during dry spells. Ensure the soil is consistently moist but not waterlogged. Deep watering is recommended for strong root development.

How to Plant

Plant Magnolias in well-draining, slightly acidic soil in a sunny or partially shaded spot. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball, place the plant, and fill with soil. Water well after planting, and mulch to retain moisture and prevent weeds.
