Product description

This six pack of Mesembryanthemum Mixed bedding plants will bring a spectacular splash of colour to your garden and you can enjoy its wonderful display all summer long until autumn. A traditional bedding favourite, producing masses of bright coloured daisy-like flowers in a wide variety of shades over fleshy foliage and with leaves that appear to be sprinkled with ice crystals. Early and long-flowering, it is a very useful plant for that baking hot and dry spot where other varieties struggle. Ideal for planting in containers, hanging baskets and borders.

Grow in deep, fertile, reliably moist but well-drained soil. Plant in full sun and it thrives in dry areas, very drought tolerant. Apply a balanced fertiliser regularly through the season. Deadhead as required to remove damaged/dead flowers.

Please Note: Images are for illustrative purposes only and designed to be a representation of the item(s) being sold. Depending on seasonality, deciduous plants may be supplied in their dormant state and without leaves. Plants may also be pruned back, lower than stated heights, to encourage new growth.

Instructions

Top Tip

Deadhead bedding plants regularly to encourage continuous blooms and prevent the plants from going to seed too quickly. This keeps your garden vibrant all season long.

How to Water

Water bedding plants deeply after planting, then regularly to keep soil evenly moist, especially during dry periods. Avoid overwatering, as this can lead to root rot. Water in the morning to allow leaves to dry and reduce the risk of fungal diseases.

How to Plant

Choose an area of good light with well-drained soil to loosen. Mix in compost for nutrients. Space plants evenly to allow growth. Gently remove plants from their packs, place in holes at the same depth as in the container, backfill with soil, and water thoroughly.
