The myrtus ugni ‘Flambeau’ or Chilean Guava is a vibrant evergreen shrub with multi-coloured foliage all year-round and drooping, bell-shaped pure white flowers which bloom in Summer, followed by aromatic purple-red berries in the Autumn and Winter months.
Plant in moist, well-drained soil and keep in full or partial sun. Prefers sheltered positions away from drying winds. Harsh Winters and frost will cause foliage damage and dieback, so it is advised to move them indoors under glass in this case.
