Product description
A dense, evergreen shrub with small grey-green leaves carrying cream and pink variegation. The myrtus ugni ‘Flambeau’ or Chilean Guava is a vibrant evergreen shrub with multi-coloured foliage all year-round and drooping, bell-shaped pure white flowers which bloom in Summer, followed by aromatic purple-red berries in the Autumn and Winter months.
Plant in moist, well-drained soil and keep in full or partial sun. Prefers sheltered positions away from drying winds. Harsh Winters and frost will cause foliage damage and dieback, so it is advised to move them indoors under glass in this case.
Please Note: When purchasing plants please consider that each live item is unique and may, therefore, differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. This plant will be supplied in a grower’s pot.
Garden Plant Size Guide
Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
Prune Myrtus plants after flowering to maintain shape and encourage bushy growth.
How to Water
Water regularly during the first growing season to establish roots. Once established, Myrtus is moderately drought-tolerant but benefits from deep watering during dry spells, especially in hot climates.
How to Plant
Plant Myrtus in well-draining soil with full sun or partial shade. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and slightly deeper. Place the plant, fill with soil, and press gently to remove air pockets. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch to retain moisture.
