Product description
Pellaea rotundifolia is a compact, low growing fern with evergreen foliage. It develops near-flat rosettes that bear pinnate fronds, growing to around 25cm long, these are composed of rounded leaflets with a deep green colour. The leaflets themselves are borne on dark brown stems that are sometimes scaled with a pinkish hue.
Known more commonly as a "button fern", this hardy variety is ideal for a low-growing ground cover in a spot that could use a bit of greenery. Best planted in loam or sandy soil, moist but well drained, and prefers either full sun or partially shaded areas of your garden.

Garden Plant Size Guide
Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Instructions
Top Tip
Pellaea plants thrive in slightly acidic soil and prefer moderate humidity, so avoid overly dry conditions to keep them healthy.
How to Water
Water Pellaea regularly, keeping the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Ensure the soil has good drainage to prevent root rot. Mist the leaves occasionally to maintain humidity, especially in dry environments.
How to Plant
Plant Pellaea in well-draining soil, preferably a mix of peat and sand, in a spot with indirect light. Dig a hole slightly larger than the root ball, and plant the fern level with the surrounding soil. Space them about 20-30cm apart for optimal growth.
