Product description
Pennisetum Cherry Sparkler, commonly known as Fountain Grass, is an ornamental grass with very striking, blade-like foliage. Its leaves are variegated, featuring a green centre and creamy-yellow margins, neatly finished off with sporadic blushes of purple. The plant has an upright, arching habit, meaning the fluffy, purple flowerheads rise above and over the foliage below when they bloom in Summer. This variety is a great addition to your garden, easily brightening up any dull corners.
Growing to an ultimate height and spread of 0.6 - 1m, this variety will be a great addition to any summer bedding, border, pots, containers and more. These easy to care for plants will thrive in most sunny spots of the garden. They will tolerate most soil types that are moist and well-drained. They can tolerate periods of drought, although regular watering should occur in the first year as they establish themselves.
Please Note: When purchasing plants please consider that each live item is unique and may, therefore, differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. This plant will be supplied in a growers pot.
Garden Plant Size Guide
Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.
