Bendigo is a sweet bell pepper that produces long, sweet fruits that are glossy and red in colour. The fruits mature from green through to red, and can be eaten at any stage Peppers are full of vitamins and antioxidants, especially Vitamin C. They can be used in a wide range of dishes, from raw in a salad, to stuffed peppers or to being cooked in a pasta or stir-fry. Grow in any, fertile, well-drained soil in a sunny, sheltered spot. Plants can be grown in containers or grow bags, or kept in a greenhouse or polytunnel. Harvest when the fruits skin is glossy.
