Product description
Peppermint is a highly aromatic herbaceous perennial with scented, slightly serrated leaves. It bears tiny purple flowers that grow in conical clusters come late Summer.
It flaunts an excellent, refreshing scent, and is the mint variety with the strongest flavour. When utilised in aromatherapy, peppermint packs a sharp punch for improved alertness. Widely used in commercially manufactured products, its strength is valued for chewing gum, soaps, sweets, cosmetics, mouth wash, toothpaste and more.
Peppermint is a fantastic natural tool for relieving heartburn and indigestion, and may be consumed by brewing tea out of the leaves, fresh or dried. This refreshing herb may be used as a garnish for sweet and savoury dishes, or alcoholic drinks.
Garden Plant Size Guide
Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
Harvest young leaves regularly to promote bushy fresh new growth.
How to Water
Water regularly during the first season and less often once established. Bear in mind that container grown plants need to be watered more frequently than those in the ground.
How to Plant
Mint spreads vigorously, so grow it in containers or patio pots to keep it under control. Use fertile, well-draining soil and position the plants in full sun or partial shade. Avoid planting different flavours of mint close together as they can lose their distinct scents.
