Product description

Physocarpus Amber Jubilee is a deciduous shrub with an orange hue to the foliage when the plant is young. It will then bring a green shade into the leaves as it grows in Summer, before finishing off the calendar year with a purple tint in Autumn. On top of that, this shrub will offer gorgeous white flowers that form in a clustered format. Those flowers will also show up in Summer, with green fruits appearing in Autumn. Physocarpus should be planted in moist, well-drained soil and kept in full sun at the best of times. The plant will take a small amount of water and still thrive well. The recommended amount of water is an inch every week.

Depending on seasonality, deciduous plants may be supplied in their dormant state and without leaves. Plants may also be pruned back, lower than stated heights, to encourage new growth.

Instructions

Top Tip

Physocarpus thrives in full sun or partial shade. Prune in early spring to maintain shape and encourage new growth.

How to Water

Water Physocarpus regularly, especially during dry spells, to keep the soil moist but not waterlogged. Once established, they are fairly drought-tolerant but still benefit from occasional deep watering.

How to Plant

Plant Physocarpus in well-drained soil with good sunlight. Dig a hole slightly larger than the root ball and position the plant so the top of the root ball is level with the surrounding soil. Backfill, firm the soil, and water thoroughly.
