Product description

A dwarf, upright deciduous shrub with bright foliage and flower colours throughout the Summer months, the Physocarpus 'Little Angel' or Ninebark is a smaller species of the variety with dense thickets of vibrant orange-red foliage that matures to a deep, rich red. Rounded masses of small, cup-shaped, white flowers appear from early Summer and are usually followed by brown fruit which can last into the beginnings of Autumn.

Plant in moist, well-drained soil and keep in full or partial sun. Drought tolerant once established and resistant to dry and rocky soils. A hardy and low maintenance variety.

Please Note: When purchasing plants please consider that each live item is unique and may, therefore, differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. This plant will be supplied in a grower's pot.

Instructions

Top Tip

Physocarpus thrives in full sun or partial shade. Prune in early spring to maintain shape and encourage new growth.

How to Water

Water Physocarpus regularly, especially during dry spells, to keep the soil moist but not waterlogged. Once established, they are fairly drought-tolerant but still benefit from occasional deep watering.

How to Plant

Plant Physocarpus in well-drained soil with good sunlight. Dig a hole slightly larger than the root ball and position the plant so the top of the root ball is level with the surrounding soil. Backfill, firm the soil, and water thoroughly.
