It produces upright to arching foliage with thick, glossy dark green fronds, that are silver-green when young. Contrasting with the colour of the pinnae, the stems and midribs have several golden-brown scales.
Plant in moist, well drained soil. Keep in partial or full shade. Perfect in a shaded border or bed, a cottage garden or as underplanting.
