Product description
Cyclamen persicum Purple are hardy herbaceous perennials that flower in the latter part of the year and last through until next spring, sporting attractive deciduous foliage alongside their large colourful blooms. More commonly seen as an indoor plant variety, these plants provide some much needed colour into the home to brighten your day during the darker winter months. Cyclamen persicum begins developing attractive heart-shaped leaves with a dark-green shade, coupled with an intriguing splash of shimmering silver dotted on the top of the leaves for a marbled effect. When it comes to flowering, the long upright stems bloom and tower above the foliage, providing a fantastic colourful contrast to the leaves.
These plants are winter flowering and their foliage is deciduous, so as the temperature rises this plant will die off and become dormant during summer. Once dormancy occurs, this plant can be stored outside before being brought back inside when the frosts begin, ready to provide those attractive blooms for the following winter. The key to longevity for this plant is to neither overwater or underwater it, wait until the soil is dry to the touch before providing it with more water, but just enough to keep the soil moist, waterlogging this plant will cause the tuber to rot. A good practice is standing the plant pot in water, allow the plant to soak up as much as it needs, then allow it to drain away the excess before placing it on a tray.

Garden Plant Size Guide
Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
Avoid direct sun and overwatering. Cyclamen thrive in cool, shaded environments, making them ideal for woodland gardens or indoor settings with indirect light.
How to Water
Water Cyclamen sparingly, ensuring the soil is moist but never soggy. Reduce watering during the dormant summer period. Always water around the base to keep leaves and tubers dry, preventing rot and fungal issues.
How to Plant
Plant Cyclamen tubers in well-draining soil, placing them in partial shade. Position the tuber with the top side facing up, just below the soil surface. Space plants about 15-20cm apart. Add organic matter to the soil to enrich it, and avoid over-burial to promote healthy growth.
