Product description

Rhododendron Dusty Miller is a hardy shrub that will grow up to 1m tall. Its pale-pink flowers bear flushes of red colour and fade to cream as time progresses. This compact plant will see its flowering appear in Spring, whilst its bushy habit allows it to form a bush-like shape. Its evergreen foliage is dark green on top and silvery-white underneath, giving the plant year-round interest and ensuring its striking flowerheads always have the perfect contrast.

This plant is ideal for adding a burst of colour into a pot or container on its own. It is also an attractive way to complement other flowers within bedding, borders or plant displays.

Rhododendrons are low maintenance shrubs. Place them in partial shade. They will tolerate most soils that are kept moist and well-drained. Water them well until established, then maintain regular watering afterwards.

Please Note: When purchasing plants please consider that each live item is unique and may, therefore, differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. This plant will be supplied in a 13cm growers pot.

Instructions

Top Tip

Avoid planting Rhododendrons too deep; the root crown should be slightly above soil level to prevent rot.

How to Water

Water Rhododendrons regularly, especially in dry periods. Keep the soil evenly moist but not soggy. Mulch around the base to help retain moisture and prevent weeds.

How to Plant

Plant Rhododendrons in a partially shaded spot with acidic, well-draining soil. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball and place the plant, ensuring the top of the root ball is level with the soil. Backfill with soil and water thoroughly.
