Product description
Salvia Ember's Wish is part of the Salvia genus - the largest of plants in the mint family, Lamiaceae. This variety is one of nearly 1000 species, with gorgeous colour throughout. This woody-based perennial has bright orange and coral flowers when they bloom in Summer. These flower above dark green foliage and burgundy stems, giving the plant a great mix of eye-catching colour to enhance your borders, plant displays, pots or containers.
Commonly known as Sage, this plant will grow to an ultimate height of 1.2m and spread of 0.9m. It is also very easy to care for. Place it in full sunlight and moist, well-drained soil, although it will tolerate most soil types. In terms of watering, only do so when the soil is dry to touch, as it can withstand small periods of drought.
Please Note: Images are for illustrative purposes only. Some plants may be supplied in their dormant state if purchased during that period later in the year. Fresh growth will then return in the following Spring.
Garden Plant Size Guide
Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.
