Product description
Salvia 'Ruby Star' is an evergreen perennial shrub with fragrant green leaves and long stems which develop large ruby coloured flowers. These flowers bloom prolifically from May until November and feature a distinct white "eye" at their centre, while the deep ruby red colour is impressive, the eye is truly unique, as unlike other varieties it will not fade later in the year.
This variety prefers a fully sunny position in the garden and will grow in most types of soil provided it is well drained. Bees and butteflies love this particular variety, ideal for attracting busy pollinators to your garden.

Deadhead spent flowers regularly to encourage new blooms and extend the flowering season.
How to Water
Water Salvia deeply when the soil feels dry to the touch. Ensure the soil is well-drained to prevent waterlogging. Once established, Salvia is drought-tolerant but benefits from occasional watering during hot, dry periods.
How to Plant
Plant Salvia in a sunny spot with well-drained soil. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball and position the plant. Fill in the hole with soil and water well. Space plants 30-45cm apart, depending on the variety.
