Salvia Hot Lips is part of the Salvia genus, which is also a member of the mint family, Lamiaceae. This stunning, evergreen perennial has bicoloured, red and white flowers. It also bears dark green foliage with a lovely scent that is an attraction for bees and other pollinators. Plant Salvia in a sunny spot with well-drained soil. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball and position the plant. Fill in the hole with soil and water well. Space plants 30-45cm apart, depending on the variety.
