Product description

In this 6 Pack Saxifraga mix, you will receive 6 Saxifraga plants of different colours and varieties, carefully selected by a member of our team. This assorted collection is perfect for anyone starting work on new beds, borders, and rock gardens.

Saxifraga, also known as Saxifrage, are evergreen alpine plants with green foliage which remains all year, and summer flowers in a variety of different colours. These alpines are hardy and can survive cold winters and high altitudes. Depending on the variety, flowers can bloom in late winter, spring, or throughout summer.

These garden plants have a mat-forming habit, making them excellent for adding to rock gardens or for planting in bedding and borders as ground cover plants. They will grow best in well-drained soil in full sun, with some midday shade.

Please Note: Images are for illustrative purposes only and designed to be a representation of the item(s) being sold. Depending on seasonality, deciduous plants may be supplied in their dormant state and without leaves. Plants may also be pruned back, lower than stated heights, to encourage new growth.

Instructions

Top Tip

Saxifraga thrives in cool, shaded areas with good air circulation. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent scorching the leaves.

How to Water

Water regularly to keep the soil moist but not waterlogged. Saxifraga prefers consistently damp soil, especially during hot weather, but avoid overwatering.

How to Plant

Plant Saxifraga in a well-draining, slightly acidic soil in a shady or partial-shade spot. Dig a hole slightly bigger than the root ball, place the plant, and fill with soil. Space plants about 20-30cm apart to allow room for growth.
