Product description
The Siberian Honeyberry, Lonicera caerulea edulis is part of the Honeysuckle family. Native to Eastern Siberian, this small bush is very hardy and can tolerate temperatures down to -40 C. It produces large elliptical berries that look and taste similar to blueberries. They can be eaten raw or used in jams and are very high in antioxidants and vitamin C. A great addition to your edible fruit plant collection!
Plant in moist, well-drained soil. This plant prefers sandy, loamy and clay soils but it does not like waterlogged soils. As with most fruit and berry plants, the Honeyberry plant does also need a good exposure to sunlight, it does not fruit so well in the shade. Ensure that the soil remains moist but not overly wet, particularly after planting.
Please Note: When purchasing plants please consider that each live item is unique and may, therefore, differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. This plant will be supplied in a growers pot.
Garden Plant Size Guide
Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
Siberian Honeyberry plants are self-pollinating but yield better fruit if planted in pairs for cross-pollination. Prune in late winter for optimal growth.
How to Water
Water Siberian Honeyberry regularly, especially in dry periods. Keep the soil moist but not soggy. Once established, reduce watering but ensure the plant doesn't dry out completely.
How to Plant
Plant Siberian Honeyberry in well-draining, acidic soil, in a sunny spot with some protection from wind. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball, place the plant, and cover with soil. Space plants 90-120cm apart for good air circulation.
