Product description
Sorbaria sorbifolia 'Sem' is a deciduous, thicket-forming compact shrub. This variety has numerous upright stems with distinctive yellow/green coloured leaves, the foliage is flushed with bronze during the spring before turning to a reddish-pink during the summer. The foliage is accompanied by small, erect white flowers appearing in narrow panicles during the summer. These plants look their best in good light, so choose an area in your garden that gets the most sun and they will thrive while looking fantastic at the height of summer. An extremely hardy variety, it can survive in harsh conditions, and it will take to most types of soil so long as it is well-drained.
Garden Plant Size Guide
Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
Sorbaria spreads vigorously, so consider planting it in a contained area or pruning regularly to control its growth. It thrives with little maintenance and adds great texture to gardens.
How to Water
Water Sorbaria regularly to keep the soil evenly moist, especially during dry spells. They tolerate some drought once established but benefit from consistent moisture for healthy growth and flowering.
How to Plant
Plant Sorbaria in well-draining, slightly acidic soil with full sun or partial shade. Dig a hole large enough for the root ball, place the plant, and backfill with soil. Space plants 90-150cm apart to allow for their spreading growth. Water well after planting.
