Product description

Verbascum Lavender Lass, commonly known as Mullein, is a semi-evergreen perennial that is ideal for ground cover and filling gaps. Large textured dark green leaves grow into rosettes and tall stems spring from its centre, blooming striking pink purple flowers throughout summer.

This clump forming perennial grows best in chalky, loamy soils that are well drained, even in winter. It prefers full sun, preferably in a south-facing spot and is relatively hardy, coping with temperatures as low as -10°C. Other than deadheading to prolong flowering, Verbascum Lavender Lass requires very little maintenance and is easy to grow, even for novice gardeners.

Mullein is tolerant of drought and copes well with poor soil. This is a highly adaptable plant that is ideal for flower beds, borders and gravel gardens. It also works well in containers.

Please Note: When purchasing plants please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only - The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
