Product description

Viburnum Charles Lamont is a hardy, deciduous shrub. They have bronze foliage in Spring that will turn dark green in Summer. Its main attraction is the long lasting floral display it brings throughout Winter. Clusters of pink and white flowers will bloom in October right the way through to March, bringing eye-catching colour and a lovely fragrance. To allow their flowers to thrive in Winter, place them in a sheltered area.

Growing to an ultimate height of 3m and ultimate spread of 2m, this variety will be a great addition to any summer bedding, border, pots, containers and more. These easy to care for plants will thrive in sunny or partially shaded spots of the garden. They will tolerate most soil types that are moist and well-drained. Regular watering should occur in the first year as they establish themselves.

Instructions

Top Tip

Prune viburnum after flowering to maintain shape and encourage new growth. Remove dead or damaged branches to promote better air circulation and a healthier plant.

How to Water

Water viburnum deeply and regularly during the first growing season to establish roots. Once established, they’re drought-tolerant but benefit from occasional watering during dry spells. Avoid overwatering to prevent root rot.

How to Plant

Choose a sunny or partially shaded spot with well-draining, fertile soil. Dig a hole twice as wide and the same depth as the root ball. Place the plant, backfill with soil, and firm gently. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch to retain moisture. Space plants 120-180cm apart.
