Product description
Ribes 'Witte Parel' (lit. White Pearl), is a deciduous slow growing white currant plant. This plant is of an upright habit, and grows bunches of green flowers, these flowers bloom and peak between April & May. During early summer, this self-pollinating variety produces loads of translucent and delicious edible berries which are best picked around mid-July. This plant is extremely hardy, it can stand up to harsh windy conditions and the berries are not an attractive proposition for birds and other such pests so they can be grown and harvested with minimal fuss.
Garden Plant Size Guide
Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
Prune whitecurrant plants in early spring to remove dead wood and promote new growth. This helps maintain a strong structure and encourages more fruit production.
How to Water
Water whitecurrant plants regularly, especially during dry spells, to keep the soil moist but not waterlogged. Water deeply at the base, avoiding wetting the leaves. Once established, they need less frequent watering, but consistent moisture supports better fruiting.
How to Plant
Choose a sunny or partially shaded spot with well-draining, fertile soil. Dig a hole wide and deep enough for the root ball, mix in compost, and place the plant at the same depth as in the pot. Water well after planting and mulch to retain moisture and prevent weeds.
