Product description
Ageratum Blue Ball is an eye-catching addition to any flower bed or border but is also well-suited to container gardening and looks stunning brightening up patio pots. This compact annual grows to around 25cm and is covered with rounded clusters of small fluffy flowers throughout summer and well into autumn. These blooms are a magnet for bees and butterflies, attracting welcome pollinators into the garden.
Also known as Mexican Paintbrush, this is a low maintenance annual that is easy to care for. Sow Ageratum seeds indoors from February to April. Gradually harden the plants to outdoor temperatures before transferring them to the planting site and water regularly, particularly during dry spells. Plant out from May, when the risk of frost has passed. Allow 20cm between plants and choose a sheltered, sunny spot in light, well-draining soil.
