Product description
Anthuriums are widely regarded as one of the most attractive houseplant varieties available, most varieties feature big oval shaped ornamental leaves with a dark green complexion borne on long stalks. The flowering stalks of the arturium bear large flower spathes that have small clusters of flowers at their centre. These heart-shaped spathes have a waxy look to them and give off a gorgeous, vivid colour, while most are red or pink, there are other colours available. Arthuriums are quite resilient and require very little maintenance, they prefer well lit areas but keep them away from direct sunlight, they should be watered at least once-to-twice a week during summer with less frequent watering during winter
Please Note: When purchasing plants please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves. Collections or 'mixed' listings for plants will be selected dependant on availability and carefully hand-picked to ensure their quality.
House Plant Size Guide
House plants come in a wide array of shapes and sizes depending on the variety and maturity of the plant.
6cm/12cm/15cm/19cm/23cm nursery pots are the most common size of pot that they are sold in. This measurement is the diameter at the top of the pot.
12cm potted plants are the most popular providing great value for money and an instant impact. Larger plants that come in pots of 20cm+ are great for making a statement in any room and can represent years of growth to get to that level of maturity and size.

Top Tip
To keep your Anthurium thriving, maintain high humidity levels by misting the leaves regularly or placing the pot on a tray of damp pebbles. Rotate the plant every few weeks to encourage even growth and prevent it from leaning towards the light. Clean the leaves gently with a damp cloth to enhance their glossy appearance and remove dust. With proper care, your Anthurium will reward you with its striking, long-lasting flowers.
How to Water
Water Anthurium regularly, ensuring the soil stays consistently moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top 2–3 cm of soil to dry out slightly between waterings to prevent overwatering. During the growing season, water approximately once a week, and reduce the frequency in cooler months when growth slows. Always use lukewarm, filtered water to prevent leaf spotting and maintain the plant’s health.
How to Plant
To plant Anthurium, use a pot with good drainage and fill it with a well-draining, peat-based compost or an orchid mix blended with perlite. Carefully remove the plant from its original container and position it so the root ball sits just below the rim of the pot. Avoid burying the crown, as it should remain slightly above the soil level. Backfill with compost, firm lightly, and water thoroughly. Place the plant in a location with bright, indirect light to promote healthy growth.
