Product description
Spathiphyllum Pearl Cupido, commonly known as Peace Lily, is a very elegant looking houseplant. It provides lush green leaves and white flowers, whilst a vertical stem grows from its centre bearing a bright white spadix.
The plant is often used as a gesture for gifting someone we love, or as a way of remembering a loved one. This small evergreen variety will also give your home a gorgeous addition to any area that is partially shaded - this is the plants preferred light level.
Pearl Cupido' will also love a humid environment, so misting the plant is also advised when maintaining its healthy state throughout the year.
Growing your Spathiphyllum from its baby stage into a mature, healthy plant is all part of the journey that brings joy to all levels of plant enthusiasts up and down the country.
It’s not unusual to give your plant a name… so don’t hesitate to choose one that you think suits the plant! Try naming your plant with the first name or word that you think of when you look at it - that’s how we ended up with an orchid named Clover and spider plant called Joseph.

Top Tip
For healthy growth, clean Spathiphyllum’s glossy leaves regularly with a damp cloth to remove dust and improve photosynthesis. If you notice drooping leaves, it’s often a sign of underwatering—water promptly, and the plant should perk up within hours. Add a balanced liquid fertiliser once a month during the growing season for lush foliage and frequent blooms. Keep the plant in a consistent environment, avoiding drafts or temperature fluctuations, to keep it thriving year-round.
How to Water
Water Spathiphyllum consistently, keeping the soil moist but not soggy. Check the top 2–3 cm of soil and water when it feels dry to the touch. During warmer months, increase watering to support active growth, but reduce frequency in winter when the plant’s growth slows. Avoid letting water sit at the base of the pot, as this can cause root rot. Use filtered or rainwater if possible, as Spathiphyllum is sensitive to chemicals found in tap water.
How to Plant
To plant Spathiphyllum, use a well-draining, rich potting mix to provide the ideal environment for its roots. Choose a pot with drainage holes to prevent waterlogging, and fill it partially with soil before placing the plant’s root ball inside. Ensure the base of the plant sits just below the pot’s rim, then backfill with more soil and gently firm it down. Avoid overpacking the soil, as this plant prefers aeration. Position in a location with indirect sunlight to protect its delicate leaves from scorching.
