Product description

Better known as English Marigolds, Calendula Art Shades create a splash of cheery colour in beds, borders, and pots from May to September. This pack of mixed flowers boasts large, frilled blooms in sunny shades of orange, apricot, yellow, and cream. Pollinators find these outdoor plants irresistible, making them ideal for a bee and butterfly garden.

English Marigolds are easy to grow from seed and make excellent gardening gifts for children or beginners. Sow the seeds thinly directly into the growing site from late March to early June or in September. When the seedlings are large enough to handle, thin them out to around 10cm apart. Water Calendula plants during dry spells, letting the soil dry out slightly between waterings. Deadhead spent blooms or cut flowers for a vase display to encourage a longer flowering season.
