Product description
Ceropegia Woodii, also known as the String of Hearts plant, is a beautifully unique houseplant with small, rounded, variegated leaves in shades of dark green and cream. Leaves grow on long, trailing stems which cascade over the edges of the pot, giving the appearance of a string of pearls.
The String of Hearts plant is an indoor plant which is relatively easy to care for, because as a semi-succulent plant, it is drought tolerant and can survive long periods without water. Just like succulents, this plant stores water in its leaves. It is, however, a sun lover, and will grow best in a spot where it can receive lots of bright sunlight throughout the day.
These indoor plants are perfect for adding an ornamental touch to various different spots in the home. They will look fabulous in living rooms or bedrooms, on shelves or in a hanging basket to brighten up a dark corner, as well as in an office as a desk plant.
Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
House Plant Size Guide
House plants come in a wide array of shapes and sizes depending on the variety and maturity of the plant.
6cm/12cm/15cm/19cm/23cm nursery pots are the most common size of pot that they are sold in. This measurement is the diameter at the top of the pot.
12cm potted plants are the most popular providing great value for money and an instant impact. Larger plants that come in pots of 20cm+ are great for making a statement in any room and can represent years of growth to get to that level of maturity and size.

Top Tip
Ceropegia grows best when allowed to trail freely, so place it in a hanging pot or on a high shelf for maximum impact. Turn the pot occasionally to ensure even light exposure and balanced growth. If the stems become too long or untidy, prune them back gently to encourage fuller growth. With minimal care, this charming plant will reward you with its delicate, heart-shaped foliage and cascading beauty.
How to Water
Water Ceropegia sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. During the active growing season, water every 1–2 weeks, depending on the environmental conditions. Reduce watering in winter when the plant goes dormant. Always water at the base, avoiding the leaves, and ensure any excess water drains away to prevent root rot.
How to Plant
To plant Ceropegia, choose a pot with good drainage and fill it with a light, well-draining potting mix, such as one designed for succulents. Position the plant so the base of the stems sits level with the soil surface, ensuring the roots are gently spread out. Backfill with soil, firm lightly, and water sparingly. Place the pot in a bright spot with plenty of indirect light, as Ceropegia thrives in warm, well-lit environments.
