Product description

Boasting various shades of mauve, purple, and white, Classic Magic Cornflowers make a dramatic statement in beds, borders, and pots. Flowering from June to August, the long-lasting blooms make them ideal for cutting and bringing indoors for a striking vase display. These Cornflowers are a magnet for bees and butterflies, enticing welcome pollinators into the garden.

Grow these hardy annuals in full sun in well-draining soil. Sow the seeds directly into the flowering site from March to May, or in a sheltered spot from late August to September for an earlier flowering period. When the seedlings are large enough, thin them out, allowing 30cm between plants. Avoid using fertiliser, as this can lead to more leafy growth and fewer flowers. Classic Magic is a cut and come again variety, so deadhead spent blooms regularly to promote fresh new growth and encourage a second flush.
