Ficus Green Kinky is a new and distinct cultivar of the Ficus plant, characterized by its compact, upright and outwardly spreading habit, and durable dark green-coloured leaves with a glossy sheen.
The foliage will droop as it grows and overhang for an attractive, bushy effect. An added feature of this ficus is its air pufying ability that allows it to extract pollutants like ammonia and formaldehyde from your home.
As the plant is very adaptable and requires little maintenance, all it will need is an occasional trim if needed to maintain a certain shape or size, and a weekly watering. The plant may need watering more often during the warmer months - keep an eye on the soil, and top up the water when it feels dry or partially dry to touch.

Rotate the pot every couple of weeks to ensure even growth and prevent the plant from leaning. Clean the leaves occasionally with a damp cloth to remove dust and keep them healthy and glossy. How to Water
Water Ficus consistently, allowing the top 2–3 cm of soil to dry out between waterings. During the growing season, water approximately once a week, adjusting frequency based on environmental conditions, and reduce watering during winter when growth slows. Ensure excess water drains freely to prevent root rot. Use filtered or rainwater whenever possible, as Ficus plants are sensitive to the chemicals found in tap water.
How to Plant
To plant Ficus, choose a pot with excellent drainage and fill it with a light, well-draining potting mix, such as one designed for houseplants. Gently remove the plant from its container, loosening the roots slightly, and position it so the base of the stem sits just above the soil surface. Backfill with soil, firm gently, and water thoroughly to settle the roots. Place the pot in a bright spot with indirect light, avoiding direct sunlight that can scorch the leaves.
