Product description

A hardy perennial shrub with compact growth of dense foliage and softly coloured blooms. The Geranium 'Mavis Simpson' is a variety of Cranesbill with clumps of downy, green-green leaves beneath slender stems which carry soft pink flowers with rounded petals thin, deeply coloured veins which are free flowering throughout most of the Summer and Autumn months, boasting a very long blooming period. Its compact nature makes it perfect for underplanting, groundcover or pot planting.

Plant in moderately moist, fertile, well-drained soils and keep in full or partial sun. This plant can tolerate shaded areas, but they may affect flower density and colour. Drought resistant once established. Avoid excessive watering and wet areas.

Please Note: When purchasing plants please consider that each live item is unique and may, therefore, differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. This plant will be supplied in a grower's pot.

Instructions

Top Tip

To encourage more blooms, regularly deadhead spent flowers and trim leggy growth.

How to Water

Water Geraniums when the top inch of soil feels dry. They prefer deep, less frequent watering over shallow, frequent watering. Ensure the soil drains well to prevent root rot. Avoid wetting the foliage.

How to Plant

Plant Geraniums in well-drained soil with full sun to partial shade. Dig a hole slightly larger than the root ball, place the plant, and fill with soil. Space plants 30-45cm apart to allow for airflow. Water thoroughly after planting.
