Product description
Cornus 'Flaviramea' also sometimes known as 'Golden-Twig Dogwood' is a lovely, woody plant which carries dark green leaves turning to red in the Autumn and dense clusters of tiny white flowers which fruit into small white berries. The stems are a bright yellow and grow upright, providing an easy to manage and structured shrub for use as hedging or as a specimen plant when grown alongside its similar red and orange varieties.
Cornus Flaviramea grows in most soil types and grows best in well-drained, moist soils. Avoid overwatering as this may cause root rot. Grows 1-2ft per year under ideal conditions and can easily be pruned and shaped.

Top Tip
While dogwood thrives in partially shaded areas of the gardens, the best, most vibrant colour is achieved by planting it in full sun.
How to Water
Water young plants regularly until they are well established. After this, dogwood is drought tolerant and only needs to be watered during particularly dry spells.
How to Plant
Choose a spot in full sun or partial shade and plant dogwood in moist but well-draining soil. Soak the roots while you dig a V-shaped trench, allowing plenty of space for the roots to spread out. You may wish to use a piece of string to ensure the trench is straight. Lightly trim the roots to promote fresh growth and position them in the trench, allowing 45-60cm between plants. It’s worth noting that plants spaced closer together will form a dense hedge quicker. Backfill the trench with soil and compost, firming down gently as you go, and water in well.
