Hebe Heartbreaker is a wonderful plant to add a generous splash of colour to a winter garden. This compact shrub produces a neat mound of variegated foliage, displaying narrow, green and white leaves that gradate to a vibrant pink in cold weather. In summer, this plant produces racemes of small, purple flowers.
This plant is not fussy about soil types; it can thrive in any soil, provided it is moist and well-drained. Plant in a position with full or partial sun. This plant would be a great container plant, or a perfect addition to the front of a bed or border.

Garden Plant Size Guide
Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
Prune lightly after flowering to encourage bushy growth and maintain the plant’s shape. Avoid heavy pruning, as Hebes may struggle to regrow from older wood.
How to Water
Water Hebe thoroughly after planting, then keep the soil evenly moist during the first season. Once established, they are drought-tolerant and require only occasional watering during dry periods.
How to Plant
Plant Hebe in well-draining soil in a sunny or lightly shaded spot, sheltered from strong winds. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball, place the plant at the same depth it was in its pot, and backfill with soil. Space plants 60-90cm apart for full growth.
