Product description
Our Hosta Autumn Frost, commonly known as Plantain Lily, is a deciduous perennial with striking foliage and elegant flowers. Its leaves are variegated, featuring green and yellow shades on the leaves centre and margins. The yellow shade will eventually fade to white over time. Further interest comes when the flowers bloom in mid-Summer through gorgeous, funnel-shaped, pale lavender flowerheads.
Growing to an ultimate height of 0.5m and ultimate spread of 0.6m, this variety will be a great addition to any summer bedding, border, pots, containers and more. These easy to care for plants will thrive in partially shaded spots. They will tolerate most soil types that are moist and well-drained. Regular watering should occur, especially as they establish themselves in the first year.
Please Note: When purchasing plants please consider that each live item is unique and may, therefore, differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. This plant will be supplied in a growers pot.
Garden Plant Size Guide
Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

How to Water
Water Hostas regularly, keeping the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. They prefer damp, shady areas, especially during dry spells. Avoid overhead watering to prevent disease.
How to Plant
Plant Hostas in well-drained, rich, and moist soil in partial to full shade. Dig a hole slightly larger than the root ball, place the plant, and cover with soil. Space them about 45-60cm apart for growth.
