Red blooms will appear when the plant is young then, as the plant ages, the colour will form into more of a white shade that is joined by a deep pink margin. Planting Hydrangea in moist, well-drained soil is the way to go, alongside giving it exposure to full sun at the best of times. If the conditions are regularly full sunlight, you should water it so that the soil is never dry to touch. Dappled shade conditions should regular watering only take place in the first few weeks as it establishes itself.
