Product description
Jasminum “Clotted Cream” is a deciduous shrub which will lose its foliage in the late autumn. It does extremely well with climbing in combination with trellising in order to cover garden or cottage walls. It is also, in general, a pest- and disease-free plant.
The plants enjoy full sun to partial shade and prefer a moist, but well-drained soil. It can withstand most of the cold in the UK, down to about -10°C and should be sheltered and protected, if possible. As well, it is versatile and can be grown in country areas, as well as, urban environments in pots.
Pruning is recommended in the early spring in order to thin out old growth and remove any damage from frost to stems.
Nestled in amongst the dark green leaves, the flowers are beautiful and fragrant. The pleasant scent will be most prevalent in the evenings. A good suggestion is to ensure that the planting is close to an area where you will be readily exposed to it and may frequently enjoy both the beauty and the scent.
Garden Plant Size Guide
Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
Prune Jasminum after flowering to encourage bushy growth and remove dead or weak stems for a healthier plant.
How to Water
Water deeply and regularly during the growing season, allowing the soil to dry slightly between waterings. Reduce watering in winter. Avoid waterlogging as it can harm the roots.
How to Plant
Plant Jasminum in fertile, well-drained soil in a sunny or partially shaded spot. Provide a trellis or support if growing a climbing variety. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball, plant at the same depth as in the pot, backfill, firm the soil, and water thoroughly.
