How to Water

Once established, these trees are relatively drought-tolerant but benefit from watering during extended dry spells. Apply water early in the morning or late in the evening to reduce evaporation and avoid wetting the leaves, which can encourage disease.
How to Plant
To plant a Liriodendron, select a sunny or lightly shaded location with well-draining, fertile soil. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and just as deep, ensuring the tree is planted at the same depth as it was in its container. Backfill the hole with soil, firming it gently to remove air pockets, and water thoroughly.
