Product description

Bursting with cheerful summer colour, this African Dune Marigold variety fills beds, borders, and pots with bright shades of yellow, gold, and orange from June through to October. The double flowers are a magnet for pollinators, making them a popular choice for a bee and butterfly garden, while the unique petal formation means excess water drains away freely rather than being held in the blooms. This makes them extremely weather resistant, resulting in an extended flowering period all the way into autumn.

Sow Marigold seeds in pots or trays from February to April and keep in a propagator or warm place at 21-25C. When the seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into pots and gradually harden them off. Choose a spot in full sun in well-draining soil and plant the seedlings out, leaving 30cm between plants. Water Marigolds routinely, particularly during dry spells but ensure the soil never becomes waterlogged. Remove spent blooms regularly to keep the plant looking its best and prolong the flowering period.
