Product description

These Nasturtium Alaska Mixed flower seeds are ideal for brightening beds, borders, pots, and containers. The green foliage is marbled with creamy-white, creating an eye-catching backdrop for the colourful red, orange, yellow, and cream flowers that bloom from June to September.

Sow Nasturtium seeds directly in the weed-free flowering site from April to May and cover the seeds with around 2cm of soil. When the seedlings are large enough to handle, thin them out to 15-25cm apart. Excess plants can be transplanted to grow in another flowering site. Choose a sheltered spot in full sun in poor, well-draining soil. Rich soils will produce more foliage at the expense of flowers, so choose your spot carefully and limit the use of fertiliser. Deadheading spent blooms helps keep the plant looking its best and prolongs the flowering period.
